Our loving nursery is provided from 8:50am-9:45am for the 9:00am Contemporary Service and from 10:50am-12:00pm for the 11:00 Traditional Service. Volunteers meet Safe Sanctuaries requirements, and all volunteers have completed background checks on file.
The Children’s Choir is led by Mrs. Beverly Burke. It meets beginning the Sunday after Labor Day through Memorial Day from 9:50-10:00am in the Choir Room. Children ages 2-11 are welcome to join. The Children’s Choir performs twice per year: once during the Advent Season and again in May.
Children’s Worship is available during the opening songs of the 9:00am Contemporary Service. Children of all ages are invited to join Mrs. Krystal Pruitt to dance with streamers and scarves or join in with the band by playing musical shakers.
Children’s Church is open to children 2 years - 5th graders. Children participate in worship the first 10-15 minutes, then go with Mrs. Krystal Pruitt downstairs for Children’s Church following the Passing of the Peace (greeting one another) during both the Contemporary and Traditional Services. Woodmont follows Orange Curriculum, which believes The Light of the Church (Yellow) + The Love of Home (Red) = A Greater Impact (Orange). During Children’s Church, the children are all together to learn the Bible story and the “Bottom Line”: how it applies to our lives.
Children’s Small Groups
Small Groups meet from 10:00-10:30. There is a group for children Pre-K through 2nd Graders and a group for 3rd through 5th Graders. During Small Groups, the children dig into the Bible story and the “Bottom Line” through engaging activities geared towards each group’s developmentally appropriate levels.
Tutoring and/or homework help is available on Monday afternoons at Mission First from 4:30-5:30pm for elementary aged students.
